This is a review for the product Neurvia Plus by Schiff Vitamins. This product contains 5 active ingredients, including Phosphatidylserine, an ingredient backed by solid clinical research and one that is likely to get you good results. However, it also contains Coffee Fruit Extract, which is not backed by any sort of study and may well be as helpful as just drinking a regular coffee - who knows? Unfortunately, there is no solid money-back guarantee (which we always really appreciate) but customers do have 30-days in which to return unopened bottles. Consumer reviews were mixed. Read on to find out more about this product.

  • Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride) 1.7mg
  • Folate 680 mcg DFE (400 mcg folic acid)
  • Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 2.4mcg
  • Coffee Fruit Extract (Coffee arabica) 200mg
  • Phosphatidylserine 100mg

  • This product also contains capsule microcrystalline cellulose, rice bran, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate. These are inactive ingredients which provide no health benefits whatsoever.

According to the manufacturer, the user should take three softgels every day with a glass of water and a meal. It is noted that this product contains a form of natural caffeine, therefore this should not be taken at night.

On the company’s website, this product is on sale for $27.99 but it is possible to find this product on other websites for as low as $14.99. The fluctuation prices raised alarm bells for us, perhaps this is not a quality product after all filled with low-quality grades of the ingredients or perhaps even contaminants.

There is no money-back guarantee of any kind listed on the manufacturer’s website, which is disappointing, especially as this is priced high for a nootropic with so many other cheaper more effective options available. While there is a return policy, it is only applicable for bottles that have not been opened or damaged.

This product contains 5 active ingredients (the ones that are going to get you the results you want), these include: Phosphatidylserine, Vitamin B6, Folate,Vitamin B12 and Coffee Fruit Extract. However, only 2 of these are highlighted as key, effective ingredients which are Phosphatidylserine and Coffee Fruit Extract. There is convincing scientific research behind Phosphatidylserine for proper functioning of nerve and brain cells but the same cannot be said about Coffee Fruit Extract which could well be a glorified version of a regular cup of Joe!. The consumer reviews we found were mixed. Many consumers found the product to be beneficial, however, several consumers reported feeling sleepy, had headaches and even rashes. On top of all that, the lack of a money-back guarantee may deter some people from purchasing this product because it increases the chances of wasting your money on something that is actually useless. If we ignore the bad reviews and based our conclusion on the positive reviews, this product has potential, That said, with the small amount and potency of active ingredients and the lack of strong return policy, we felt that this product only deserved our #4 spot. With a few tweaks, who knows what the future holds for Neuriva Plus.
